I need to use an ethernet cable to access the internet, but my nework is wireless?
I messed with my network settings last week to connect to LAN and now i cant connect to my wireless network at home like i used to be able to. I can connect, i just dont have web access unless i use an ethernet cable and plug it into my router and computer. What setting did i change? How can i fix this issue?
if you cannot get online when connected via wireless then you are not really connected. Next time you are “connected” via wireless try this…”window key” + r, the type CMD.
After that type “ping (the IP ADDRESS of your router). if you get a response then you are connected and probably have a IP Setting screw up in your wireless setting….most likely its your DNS.
But I think your problem maybe that your WEP is not correctly typed into your laptop.
There are too many factors for troubleshooting. I can go one for hours. The best and fastest way to do this is to reset everything and start it yourself from scratch.
