Slovenia property – holiday homes
Slovenia is interesting place to buy property – holiday homes. Tourism has been the fastest growing industry in the country for the past years. With new european legislations, Slovenia opened property market to foreign buyers. Generally foreign buyers are looking for small, older style properties in Slovenia or newly built properties with two bedrooms. Some are also looking for homes with some land. Having a great view from the property, green environment, good transport linksis also important.
Due to its location, Karst and Notranjska property in Slovenia has emerged as a great place for overseas property investors to seek solid capital gains and income.
The Karst and Notranjska region is located between the Trieste Bay, Vipavska Valley and Cerknica lake and is a thick forested limestone plateau dotted with picturesque ancient stone villages, vineyards and underground caves in Postojna, Škocjan. It is also gives its name to amazing shapes created by waters in the fusible stone. This karst phenomena can be seen in over half of Slovenia. Predjama Castle, 9km north of Postojna, is a forbidding-looking fortress built into the side of a cliff.
Not far from Postojna is Cerknica Lake. It’s an intermittent lake, which means that I can’t tell you exactly what to expect when you go there. If there has been a lot of rain recently you might see a 40 square kilometre expanse of water (most likely in spring).
Its close proximity to the Italian Alps, Austria, and sea coast offer several different areas all with something to offer and there are locations to suit all tastes.
If you are an overseas property investor and looking to invest in Slovenia property then Karst and Notranjska property has a great deal to offer.
